St Mary, Portsea, Portsmouth (aerial)

            Being an experienced church bellringer, one can get access to places not normally accessible by the public. 

This is a fantastic view, taken from a small, hidden gallery located in the ringing chamber at St Mary, Portsea, Hampshire, about 45 feet above the floor. 

From here, there is a fine view of the nave, east window and splendid hammer beam roof. One of the country's largest and finest Victorian parish churches. Notice the empty organ case, as the entire instrument is currently undergoing restoration.
