St Michael's Mount bw (old Sonnar) - a photo on Flickriver

Almost an island; you can reach the Mount by the causeway at low tide. Legends abound in West Cornwall and right here it's about the giants Cormoran and Cormelian who lived on the Mount. I have it on good authority that Cormelian is buried under Chapel Rock on this very beach. I think Cormoran is the one done in by Jack the giant killer but the beanstalk thing is a myth (whereas Cornish legend is for real of course).
I stand to be corrected on the details :-)
