            GRIMALDI HYBRID RoRo sailing from the port of Genoa.
The twelfth hybrid ro-ro ship of the Grimaldi Green 5th Generation (GG5G) class is called Eco Italia. It was built by the Chinese Jinling shipyard in Nanjing. Like the eleven sister ships already employed in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, she is among the largest and most eco-friendly ro-ro units in the world for short sea shipping. The Eco Italia flies the Italian flag, is 238 meters long and 34 meters wide, has a gross tonnage of 67,311 tons and a cruising speed of 20.8 knots. The loading capacity of its seven decks, two of which are mobile, is double that of the previous class of ro-ro ships used by the Grimaldi group for the transport of short-range goods: the ship can in fact transport 7,800 linear meters of units rolling stock, equal to approximately 500 trailers and 180 cars.

Si chiama Eco Italia la dodicesima nave ro-ro ibrida della classe Grimaldi Green 5th Generation (GG5G). E' stata costruita dal cantiere cinese Jinling di Nanjing. Come le undici gemelle già impiegate nel Mediterraneo e in Nord Europa è tra le più grandi ed ecofriendly unità ro-ro al mondo per il trasporto marittimo di corto raggio. La Eco Italia batte bandiera italiana, è lunga 238 metri e larga 34 metri, ha una stazza lorda di 67.311 tonnellate ed una velocità di crociera di 20,8 nodi. La capacità di carico dei suoi sette ponti, di cui due mobili, è doppia rispetto a quella della precedente classe di navi ro-ro impiegate dal gruppo Grimaldi per il trasporto di merci di corto raggio: la nave può infatti trasportare 7.800 metri lineari di unità rotabili, pari a circa 500 trailer e 180 automobili.
