            At the end of BNSF freight train H-BARSDG1-29A, heading to San Diego from Barstow, are three brand new coaches for San Diego County's Coaster commuter operation, with each car separated from the others with an empty flat car.  San Diego Northern (SDNR) 423, seen here, is a cab car; the other two cars were coaches 42107 and 42108.  This train was tied down at Ono, a location on BNSF a few miles east of downtown San Bernardino, one of two San Diego-bound freights sitting at this location.  These new, Alstom-built cab cars have a cab that is much improved over the old predecessor Bombardier-built cab cars.  (San Bernardino, California – April 30, 2024)
