....even though it looks a lot like the other one. Same time of course. This one was more or less an out take. I walked up to the rocks and saw the water crashing and rolling and waving and splashing. And I set the tripod down, with my filters already on the lens, I pulled out of the bag the grad filter and held it over the lens, and all other things, like the ring to hold the filter was still in my hand. Which came out in the shot! SO, I had to crop this one to use it. :) It had all sorts of issues, I had to crop out the left and the right! I was not even sure I was going to use the shot. However, after looking at ALL the other images of the same rocks, I came to the conclusion that I needed to use it because it had the best water action of them all! So, LightRoom got a work out on this one! Again, a little dark, I am not having an easy time preparing for the darker tones that Flickr adds to some of my photos. At this point, I am going to assume that life will go on! :)

I sure do hope you enjoy. This is my beloved La Jolla, the candy bar rocks as my husband calls them. I do not always remember exactly what filters I use, but I am guessing by the looks of the image, the time of .8 seconds and the f/11 that this is just the B+W ND106 (6 stops) pared up with the Cokin soft grad filter. It could have been the hard grad, I did use both during the evening. I guess it really does not matter to much! :)
