Herb and the stone flag wall - a photo on Flickriver

            At the lodge

On the left is a body of water named locally as the lodge. Water comes down from the hills and keeps it fresh. 
As the name suggests Lee Quarry is a former stone quarry, and a few walls in the area are built from these thin stone flags. Similar stone flags go around the perimeter of our house, but these are thicker… around 3” or 4”. 

We walk up this way as part of our usual 2nd walk of the day.
