Öresundbrücke - a photo on Flickriver

Öresundbrücke

            Die "Öresundsbron" verbindet die dänische Hauptstadt Kopenhagen und das schwedische Malmö, also das europäische Festland mit Skandinavien. Insgesamt ist die Brücke über den Öresund knapp 8km lang, die Brückenpassage mit Einbeziehung der Tunnel und Inseln summiert sich auf rund 16km auf. Die Freigabe der Örseundbrücke im Jahr 2000 führte zu einem noch immer anhaltenden Wirtschaftsboom und zur Annäherung von Schweden und Dänemark. Die Öresundregion zählt zu den dynamischsten Europas - ca. 25% des BIP Schwedens und Dänemarks werden hier erwirtschaftet. Ein starkes Symbol für ein zusammenwachsendes Europa.
