A Dream – A Life Timer - Rufous-bellied Hawk-Eagle circling the canopy | Western Ghats| India

            An year back had seen the flight of the bird over the canopy sending the smaller potential prey into a frenzy of fear.

It was probably imagination I had later on that; I would see the hawk eagle from a hill top.Chasing the dream, I spent around 5 days sitting up early as 6 AM to 6PM to get a glimpse. Not that it would soar up in the sky at 6am but had my observation sitting alone patiently.

At around 9-9:30am he would suddenly pass over my head, sometimes seen in flight at a distance. He would make be burn in hot sun the whole day; having made a mistake once could not afford to miss a chance in seconds and minutes to take a break.

3 days had passed by with only few glimpses. It was 4th day at around 3:45 on a cloudy afternoon he makes an appearance circling the canopy …It was as if I had my dream front of my eyes!!
