Butterfly sculptures in the birth forest of the Gentbrugse Meersen nature reserve in Gent

The birth forest in Gentbrugge is part of the beautiful nature reserve Gentbrugse Meersen. Here you will find several colorful monuments with small birth announcements on them. Trees are placed in the birth forest that, as it were, grow with the newborns over the years. Each specific part of the forest has a different theme and year of birth. The birth announcements are from newborns from Ghent. I took this photo in the section with the sculptures of the butterflies. I chose to make the photo so that all the butterfly artworks are on it with an artfully composition and perspective. There are also photographers who zoom in more on the birth announcements

Het geboortebos in Gentbrugge is een onderdeel van het prachtige natuurgebied Gentbrugse Meersen. In het bos worden boompjes geplaatst die met de pasgeborenen als het ware meegroeien in de loop der jaren. Hier zijn ook verschillende kleurrijke monumenten te vinden met kleine geboortekaartjes erop. Elke specifiek gedeelte van het geboortebos heeft een ander thema en geboortejaar. De geboortekaartjes zijn van pasgeborenen uit Gent. Deze foto heb ik genomen in het gedeelte met de sculpturen van de vlinders. Ik heb ervoor gekozen om de foto zo te maken dat alle vlinderkunstwerken erop staan met een kunstzinnig perspectief en compositie. Er zijn ook fotografen die meer inzoomen op de geboortekaartjes.
