First of 2023 - a photo on Flickriver

First of 2023

            This was the first invertebrate (a globular springtail) that I photographed in 2023. I think it's Katianna schoetti. 

I see a few in our Staffordshire garden most years although it's rarely recorded in the UK. This looks like a reasonably-mature individual and I managed a shot of what could be one of the sub-anal appendages. If so, this would be a female.
