This is the Farley Drinking Fountain Canopy in Dartmouth Square, High Street, West Bromwich. It used to be in Dartmouth Park.

Moved from Dartmouth Park to the Farley Centre, Dartmouth Square, Hight Street, West Bromwich in 1988.

Canopy over drinking fountain. 1885. Cast iron. Decorated round columns have foliated capitals. Each side of the upper part has a multi-cusped round arch and open-work foliage decoration. Above each arch is a circle with ropework border containing a cartouche with the figure of a stork. On one side there is an inscription instead of a stork: "In loving memory of Elizabeth Farley. This fountain was erected by her son Alderman Farley JP 1885". A dome with open-work decoration between ribs is surmounted by an eagle. Some of the column bases are inscribed: "W MACFARLANE & CO GLASGOW".
