About

The Basilica of Koekelberg is the largest Art-Deco building in the world and area wise the 8th biggest church in the world, together with all listed Cathedrals. This is not a cathedral however, since a cathedral is defined as being the head church of a diocese, reminds me that I still have to post some shots of Saint Michiels Cathedral.

We had some stunning skies all days long, but unfortunately I had to sit in the office and watch them all glide by. I was so eager to go and shoot some of those magnificent clouds ! By the end of my working day most of them had vanished ( typical ) but I had my mind made up and was going out for a shoot, although the clouds in the panorama still look quite good, I can assure you they're not half the beauty that I have seen pass by during the day, damn !

6 x Standard 3 exposures HDR [-2,0,+2EV] in RAW/ISO100 at f/11 using the Sigma 10-20mm lens, on a tripod.

Tonemapped using the detail enhancer.

° Cylindrical stitching.
° Shadow and highlights.
° Deepened the blues by adding saturation and reducing lightness.
° Small colour balance.
° Noise reduction in the sky.
° High pass sharpening ( See here for description )
with the inverse mask of the one used for the noise reduction.
