Mollendo, Arequipa - Perú, ca, 2024. Muelle Fiscal

Silla de embarque y desembarque de pasajeros. Durante décadas la braveza del mar obligaba a los buques a permanecer al ancla en la bahía y la carga como los pasajeros a ser transportados, en uno y otro sentido, en lanchones y falúas. El muelle fiscal recibía a los pasajeros de salida y entrada en ese singular medio con el consabido temor de un accidente, pero que yo sepa jamás ocurrió. Yo use esa silla (1943) junto a mis padres en las oportunidades que teníamos que zarpar rumbo al puerto del Callao o a otro destino.
