A Grilling to Remember - a photo on Flickriver

            Locally raised chicken breasts, butchered earlier that morning, marinated with fresh lemon juice, fresh local olive oil, and herbs we picked at the farmhouse, cooked over a rustic iron grill over wood coals on a cool spring night in the Italian countryside. I still can't get over how good the local produce and meat was in our travels throughout Italy. No GMOs, great soil, great climate means great food (assuming one knows how to cook, of course!) It was pretty cool showing up at the butcher shop in the village earlier that morning, fumbling through a few Italian phrases and getting the best service (and witnessing the best knife work) I've ever seen.
