As a London Style Taxi in all-over advertising for Scotland’s “other national drink”, Irn Bru, passes by, a selection of Scottish Citylink coaches are seen parked up at the depot, with the Code 3 Citylink Gold facing into the garage whilst undergoing minor repair work.

Closest to Belshotmuir Main Street is P100 WCM, a West Coast Motors DAF Van Hool Alizee in an older Citylink livery, bearing the slogan “Citylinking...Smart Thinking”. This model is also (barely) code 3, having received a different destination board which now shows service 914 for Glasgow instead of service to Campbeltown as upon release by Corgi. 

Behind the Citylink Gold, Scania Irizar sits P492 FAS from Rapsons, showing a slightly different iteration of the livery but still utilising the same slogan. 

In front of FAS is V74 DSN of Tayside Public Transport, part of the National Express Group which would later become Travel Dundee and currently Xplore Dundee. On this model, the livery has been updated once again, now featuring the tag line “Connecting Scotland”. 

Scottish Citylink has been in operation since March of 1985, and continues to this day to provide long distance and intercity coach services throughout Scotland. The company is now a joint venture of ComfortDelGro and Stagecoach.
