swinging in the breeze - a photo on Flickriver

We heard about a monster storm moving across Lake Michigan from Chicago with an eta of 7p.m. so we went to the beach to watch it come in. It was similar to shooting in a hurricane (I've been in 8 of them) but not nearly as intense.

SS 1/30th with zoom strobe renders raindrops in motion and they're moving horizontally so that'll give you an idea of what it was like. I made 5 shots in a minute and a half and was pretty much drenched.
