Jericho Covered Bridge, on the Baltimore County-Harford County line, takes Jericho Rd across Little Gunpowder Falls creek, just below the Jerusalem Mill Village in a unit of Gunpowder Falls State Park. The single-span Burr arch truss bridge is 100 feet 10 inches long, including the sloping portals, which add 6.5 feet at each end; it was completed December 1865 and received major rehabilitations in 1937 (when queenpost truss was added for more strength) and in 1983 (when steel reinforcement was placed under the bridge deck to support modern traffic). Although I found nothing about recent improvements, it wore new paint inside and out and appeared in excellent overall condition in November 2016. One of six covered bridges left in Maryland, Jericho covered bridge was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 (78001444).
