F-BVGI Air France A300B4-203 Airbus on 23 approach to London Heathrow

Seen over the outer marker on London Heathrow runway 23 approach. A nice view of the underside of an airbus!

F-BVGI c/n 045 - A300B4-203 was delivered new to Air France in 1977 and flew with the airline until 1989. In 2003 the aircraft ended up as a freighter conversion in Mexico as XA-TWQ with Aerounion.

I was lucky to have lived right under the flight path of the London Heathrow cross-wind runway 23. Whenever we had a nice stormy south-westerly wind, you would start to hear the familiar sound of approaching aircraft. As we were around 4 miles out, aircraft would call out over the outer-marker just as they flew over the house.
