Sunrise on the Drake Passage - a photo on Flickriver

            It never really gets dark this time of year (summer) on the way to Antarctica or on the Antarctic Peninsula. I didn't want to miss anything, so kept the drapes slightly open, and was awakened to this brilliant sunrise at 5:11 a.m. Though it doesn't look it here, the seas were really rough, so I didn't take many pictures on the 2-day crossing of Drake Passage, because I always had to be holding on to something with one hand!
