Now you might think all I did in Fiji was take pictures of soft coral and little Nemo fish. Well, if you thought that, you'd pretty much be 90% right.

There's no denying I have a soft spot for the eye candy, passing by the more obscure, rare species that are either too small, too shy, or both. Bottom time is limited and if I find something I like, I tend to stick with it for awhile to get a shot I want.

Anemonefish are not too difficult too find, and typically they aren't too shy, but they dart around like crazy and almost never sit still.

So here I was hanging out on a sloping reef at about 50' (15m) photographing some anemonefish. I notice a juvenile darting about frantically. It turns out it was chasing around this little guy! The fish in this image was about 1/2 inch (1.25cm), and oh so cute. And very difficult to track!

I think this is the only shot I got that was halfway sharp and I was lucky enough to get some eye contact. The vast field of anemone tentacles got lit up in such a way that I knew it was the best of the bunch. The black and white just "worked", and I like how the conversion compliments the depth of field.
