San Martín de Elines es un pueblo de Cantabria que pertenece al municipio de Valderredible, en la comarca de Campoo-Los Valles. Se sitúa a 685 m s. n. m.. La población, en 2012 (INE), era de 47 habitantes, siendo el pueblo visitado especialmente por su colegiata románica. 

San Martín de Elines es uno de los pueblos de mayor extensión de Valderredible. Su casco lo forman básicamente tres barrios: el de Abajo, a ambas márgenes del Ebro, el de Arriba, en la base del talud de la Peña Camesía y Cabrerizas. Las fértiles vegas que vemos extenderse por el corredor sur del valle, se van estrechando poco a poco hasta desaparecer en el embudo del cañón del Ebro, cuyo primer tramo se alcanza a ver desde San Martín. En general, la calidad del entorno natural es óptima y merece la pena el ascenso por la pista que lleva hasta el páramo de La Lora desde el Barrio de Arriba, desde donde se disfruta de unas excepcionales vistas de la parte oriental de Valderredible. 

La Colegiata de San Martín de Elines es el monumento románico sobresaliente de los muchos que tiene Valderredible y uno de los más interesantes de la región. Es una de las cuatro colegiatas construidas en estilo románico en Cantabria, junto a Santillana, Castañeda y Cervatos.

La colegiata se construyó inicialmente como monasterio, pasó posteriormente a ser colegiata y, finalmente, parroquia.

San Martín de Elines is a town in Cantabria that belongs to the municipality of Valderredible, in the Campoo-Los Valles region. It is located at 685 m s. no. m.. The population, in 2012 (INE), was 47 inhabitants, the town being especially visited for its Romanesque collegiate church.

San Martín de Elines is one of the largest towns in Valderredible. Its hull is basically made up of three neighbourhoods: Abajo, on both banks of the Ebro, and Arriba, at the base of the Peña Camesía and Cabrerizas slopes. The fertile plains that we see stretching along the southern corridor of the valley narrow little by little until they disappear in the funnel of the Ebro canyon, the first section of which can be seen from San Martín. In general, the quality of the natural environment is optimal and it is worth the ascent up the track that leads to the La Lora páramo from the Barrio de Arriba, from where you can enjoy exceptional views of the eastern part of Valderredible.

The Collegiate Church of San Martín de Elines is the outstanding Romanesque monument of the many that Valderredible has and one of the most interesting in the region. It is one of the four collegiate churches built in the Romanesque style in Cantabria, along with Santillana, Castañeda and Cervatos.

The collegiate church was initially built as a monastery, later it became a collegiate church and, finally, a parish.
