Your eyes kiss mine... - a photo on Flickriver

M night portrait, Nice 96 This photo reminds me of the line from the french love song "Plaisir d'Amour":
"Your eyes kissed mine, I saw the love in them shine
You brought me heaven right there when your eyes kissed mine"

A spur-of-the-moment portrait at "the perfect end to a perfect evening". We were staying at the fabulous Negresco Hotel in Nice, Côte d'Azure, and had enjoyed a brilliant day exploring the old town and swimming at the uber-fashionable beach opposite the hotel, followed by a romantic dinner.

Very limited photographic quality – taken on my compact waterproof camera (Mamya) with direct flash, but it was within reach and I didn't want ro miss the moment...

There is something special in the look of a head-and-shoulders portrait taken when naked – often this can be missed because the viewer naturally wants to take in the whole view. I am therefore making a series of "naked portraits", cropped from original nude photos, which can also be flagged "safe" so they can be seen by a wider range of people.

This one is unusual as it was not taken as part of a nude photo – it was just a head-and-shoulders shot taken in landscape format to capture her expression.
