A treasured possession - a photo on Flickriver

(015/366) This is the 3rd time my origami crane has featured in Macro Mondays - HMM! Previous photos in the first 2 comment boxes below.

In 2006, a 7 year old Japanese girl & her family stayed at our B&B in Co. Cork. She was a delightful child, as was her brother, so polite & inquisitive. I remember them as if it were yesterday. She made this beautiful origami crane for me & I will treasure it forever. This little bird is a bit faded & quite dusty, but not looking too bad for an 18 year old piece of folded paper. It moved house with us in 2016 & my now 6 year old granddaughter is fascinated by it. I wonder what the young lady who created this for me is doing now? I do hope she is having a wonderful life.
