Art Institute of Chicago - a photo on Flickriver

            The Art Institute of Chicago, founded in 1879 and located in Chicago's Grant Park, is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the United States. Recognized for its curatorial efforts and popularity among visitors, the museum hosts approximately 1.5 million guests annually. 

Many famous works are on display, none more revered than Grant Wood's American Gothic and Edward Hopper's Nighthawks.

Outside the museum, 2 bronze lion sculptures welcome visitors. Turned green over time, they have become as famous as the museum itself.
