New Music For You to Discover: Friko

Chicago has quite a few exceptionally talented bands but we probably haven't had a band come out of Chicago and become famous since The Smashing Pumpkins. This is pretty odd to me considering that the rent is overall much lower than in places like Los Angeles or NYC so it's much more possible to support yourself as a musician while making music. In any case, we have always had quite a few very talented local bands and Friko has just released their full length album:

I was quite impressed seeing them headline on Friday night. Niko Kapetan's voice is incredible and hopefully the band will have some good luck playing at SXSW as well.
