A Common Kestrel alert due to another raptor

            During a visit to a large grasslands couple of years ago, sighted more than a dozen of these common kestrels. This is a migrant from Central Asia / Europe and comes migrates around End-September to our state, much earlier than all the other raptor migrants. This is a medium sized bird and prefers grassland habitats where it hunts for small reptiles and birds like pipits, larks and quails. 

Think this is a female, sub-adult judging by the size and plumage. She was resting on the ground when she sighted a large Eagle in the distance - It was a Bonelli's I think - not sure now. The bird wasn't sure if it should fly or not, so she watched the Eagle's movements. But then as the Eagle drew near, the Kestrel flew away.
