Looking for old, unposted Sears pics (to no avail), but did find some interesting Bass Pro pics from 2016 (building on the right has since been remodeled, see photo description for more info)

I know I've posted a very similar view to this before, but since Bass Pro's big neighbor on the right (to the east) has changed a good bit in recent years, thought it would be a good idea for a brief update on that:

Formerly known as The Memphis Cook Convention Center (or, just "Cook Convention Center"), it predates the Pyramid Arena (now Bass Pro) by several years. After $200 million in renovations circa 2020 (yeah, bad timing with the pandemic :P), Cook was re-dubbed the "Renasant Convention Center": youtu.be/U7R88p7wAIM.

Pretty sure a lot of the exterior was just skinned over with that trendy-looking stuff, which of course means eventually that high-dollar skin might be peeled back off to reveal at least some of the original, more timeless look!
