Taiyuan Shanxi China 28th October 1983

            This line up of ex-works steam engines was on the main line not far from Taiyuan shed. It is headed by an unusual loco 0-8-0 ET 5507 with SY 2-8-2 0050 and JS 2-8-2 5010 just in view behind. This was the only ET we saw on our travels (and it wasn't calling home) out of the 90 that were built by Chrzanow in Poland and sold to China in 1960-61) originally as tank engines.
