M 33 - The Triangulum Pinwheel Galaxy

            The Triangulum Galaxy is the third largest member of the Local Group and lies about 2.73 million light-years from Earth in the constellation of Triangulum. Under very good skies, this galaxy can be seen with the naked eye. It is easy to see with binoculars or a small telescope. 
This galaxy was discovered in 1654 by Giovanni Battista Hodierna. Messier rediscovered the galaxy in 1764.
In the galaxy ly several other objects that were catalogues. For example NGC 604, on the upper left of M 33, one of the largest HII regions known, with a diameter of nearly 1500 light-years.
Notice the plenty of tiny background galaxies at much, much further distances, space is infinate !

Color image taken at the remote observatory from the E-Eye site in Spain. The image is composed of 30 hours of exposure time with the ZWO ASI-2600MC color camera using a Takahashi CCA250 f3.6 astrograph, riding a unguided 10Micron GM2000.
