camassia nature preserve, part one (hikes of 2023)

            We're coming up on the anniversary of when I started really hiking in earnest last year, so I feel it's time to start sharing photos from those hikes. I'm not sure I'll be able to share all photos from each hike before moving on to the next, or before moving on occasionally to unrelated photos, but I'll try to keep a cohesive timeline of them coming.

This hike with little Leo was actually #3 for 2023. The first two I have no film images of - the first (Beacon Rock) because I didn't take a camera other than my phone, as I was recovering from a medical issue/procedure. The second hike I didn't make any film images of. So this hike is the first that presents photographic proof in film form.

Camassia Nature Preserve is a lovely little oasis nestled in West Linn, and the 1.4-mile-loop is perfect for little ones. I hiked it on May 1st of last year, but considering that the wildflowers seem to be blooming 2-3 weeks earlier this year, it's probably looking beautiful right about now.
