Das Plöner Schloss in Plön ist eines der größten Schlösser Schleswig-Holsteins und das einzige dort erhaltene in Höhenlage. Die frühere Residenz der Herzöge von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plön wurde im 17. Jahrhundert während des Dreißigjährigen Krieges errichtet. Es erlebte eine wechselvolle Geschichte, in der das Schloss unter anderem auch als Kadettenschule und Internat diente.

The Plön Castle in Plön is one of the largest castles in Schleswig-Holstein and the only one preserved at a high altitude. The former residence of the Dukes of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plön was built in the 17th century during the Thirty Years' War. It experienced an eventful history, in which the castle also served as a cadet school and boarding school.
