Well I landed back into the UK this afternoon after three flights from Christchurch to Sydney (two and a half hours), Sydney to Dubai (fourteen and a half hours) and finally Dubai to Manchester (seven hours). Needless to say that my eyelids are starting to feel somewhat heavy this evening but I wanted to properly edit an image from my time spent on the magical south island of New Zealand.

So here is the jetty at Te Anau during a stormy sunset. I opted to include the diagonal section of the wooden pier at the base of the image as this adds a little extra to the composition but it is rarely included by photographers.

Te Anau is a small town that nestles at the gateway to Milford Sound and it is full of small motels, restaurants and shops in general but the long drive to Milford Sound at over 90 km away (60 miles) makes this the ideal base to launch yourself from.

I hope you like it. I aim to have written my New Zealand blog complete with edited images by Saturday evening as on Sunday I head 420 miles north to Scotland with five clients in tow to run my autumnal five day workshop which I am really looking forward to.
