The transitioning of an era. - a photo on Flickriver

            The year is 1964, compact cars are being seen more frequently, large land yachts, like this Pontiac, are out of step with the times [ although still looking very cool ], popular music is beginning to sound a bit different, and as a matter of fact, there is a cultural vibe in the air similar to an approaching weather front.
 It is both exciting and somewhat unnerving because it's not clear what the long term affects will mean.
 But while walking down this particular street, with music drifting from the record store, the bar crowd just starting to gear up, along with the scent of burgers drifting from the diner, one can not imagine how or why any of this would change.
  Rumors abound that Elgin Park's resident quirky inventor, Professor Vata,  had developed a force field that preserved all that is near and dear to it's citizens.
From where I'm sitting, I am pleased to say it has 
worked remarkably well.

This is dedicated to Daniel who understands the rhythm and beat of that time.
