Bamborough (Bamburgh) Castle - a photo on Flickriver

On a recent visit to the north east I had wanted for some time to get a shot of the castle. Unfortunately the weather on this morning was cold and windy so I had to take many shots at different settings to get acceptable light. I used a 0.6 soft ND grad filter to hold the sky and then comrised 2 exposures about 2 stops apart and merged to an HDR image in Photomatix. I used the hyperfocal technique also to set focus at 10ft and kept the aperture at f10 which gave me a hyperfocal distance of 1.9ft.
