Slot canyon outside Antelope? - a photo on Flickriver

            Why yes!  There are great slot canyons outside the famed Antelope.  Are they as cool?  Well...no.  But they do exist.  This was shot in the Anza Borrego State Park near the Salton Sea.  There are a number of great slot canyons there.  I was only there 1 day and plan to return.  This is a mapped slot canyon called, the Slot.  Not very original, but certainly very cool.  This maze is not that long but every turn seems like a new place, some wide, some very narrow.  I have lived near this park for years and never payed much attention thinking it was basically a moonscape.  Boy was I wrong.  Next Borrego Adventure?  Goat Canyon Trestle with my photo buddies Mark, Mike and Thomas (like I could actually ever get him out with us).
