Snow and Flowers

            Ok, yes, that's an odd mix, but that has been April here in Oregon this year.  I already talked about the strange April snow we got this year, and how my new house gives me a much better jumping off point to get to some great locations fast.  Well, this too was shot on a day when the snow had fallen, and I rushed up the hill to get some images.  On this day there was not enough snow to make great waterfall images (because the snow did not reach the falls) but it did give me enough to provide that dreamy forest kind of image.  The light was fading in and out as the clouds shifted and at one point I got this great opportunity to get light at the end of the path.  

What's truly strange about this was that I was shooting tulips the next day near Woodburn in images that seemed to scream Spring.  I have to say, I am glad I live in Oregon.      

By the way, this is from Silver Falls State Park.
