Silver Falls in the Fall - a photo on Flickriver

            The day was mostly overcast, but we needed to get out to shot some Fall images while there were still leaves on the trees.  We headed for Silver Falls State Park which is right down the street (I know, we do know how lucky we are).  We were a little surprised to find huge crowds and several large party tents at the parking area.  Turns out there was a marathon that day on the trail of 10 Falls.  That was fine, but it was tough to get an image with no one in the frame.  We set up the tripod and waited, and waited, and waited.  Fortunately, the fog was happy to wait for us.
