            The Soulages museum is a museum of contemporary art located in Rodez, in the Aveyron region Occitanie. Built to exhibit works by the French painter Pierre Soulages, it also receives temporary exhibitions from other contemporary artists.
 
 Le musée Soulages est un musée d'art contemporain situé à Rodez, dans l'Aveyron, en Région Occitanie. Construit pour exposer des œuvres du peintre français Pierre Soulages, il reçoit également des expositions temporaires d'autres artistes contemporains.

    Pierre Soulages, né le 24 décembre 1919 à Rodez dans l'Aveyron, est un peintre et graveur français associé depuis la fin des années 1940 à l'art abstrait. Il est particulièrement connu pour son usage des reflets de la couleur noire, qu'il appelle « noir-lumière » ou « outrenoir » 

Pierre Soulages, born December 24, 1919 in Rodez in the Aveyron, is a French painter and engraver associated since the late 1940s with abstract art. He is particularly known for his use of the reflections of the black color, which he calls "black-light" or "outrenoir"
