Twinkies: Comics Lied! - a photo on Flickriver

After growing up reading American comic books I was led to believe that Hostess Twinkies, along with their Cupcakes and Fruit Pie products, were a key technology in the fight against super-villain based crime. As such I have always wanted to try them but being in the UK I never got the chance until recently.

Thankfully special-lady-friend-Kerstin got me a box of these golden sponge cakes with creamy filling inside during her trip to the States.

At last the dream fulfilled.

The verdict.

YUK!

Seriously, even fresh they have an "almost stale" quality that really couldn't fail to disappoint. I wonder how the delicious fruit pies taste?
