A lot of people, myself included often mispronounce the name of this beautiful spring flower. We tend to say cow-slip, when in fact we should be saying cows-lip.

Cowslip are closely related Oxlip | Primula elatior, although the Oxlip has larger, pale yellow flowers more like a Primrose.
