Kamikōchi - Contre Flare - a photo on Flickriver

            Here's another from looking over the Azusa River to the left bank. The light was just marvellous in how it picked out the copse of trees along the river bank and left the steep gullies behind in deep shadow.

Like the previous there was an arm wrestle between the colour version and the mono...

The flare is interesting from a technical point of view. There was a lens hood on the XF35/1.4 (no filter) so given the position/angle of the sun at the time and the angle of the shot, I suspect the flare is a light leak from the lens/body interface. In colour, the flare shows a distinct, regular, magenta-rich blotch pattern which in my experience with Fujis, represents a reflection off the surface of the sensor on the rear element at the moment the shot was taken. 

I will clearly need to chase this down and I'd be interested if any X-H1 shooters out there have had a similar experience. I'm not ditching the platform for one errant flare tho :-)
