Kawhaka Forest Stream - a photo on Flickriver

            The plateau around the Kapitea and Kumara Reservoirs, in the Kawhaka Forest, is criss-crossed with meandering streams, which eventually flow down to the Taramakau River.
The vibrant greens of the forest vegetataion contrast sharply with the golden red hues of the tannin stained stream, creating a colourful canvas to delight the eye.
