The Eiger, a 3,967-metre mountain in the Bernese Alps, is one of the most famous mountains of Switzerland.
Overlooking Grindelwald, it is also known as the “main actor” of the triumvirate. To the triumvirate belong Mönch and Jungfrau (monk and virgin).
The Eiger has also belonged to the Unesco World Natural Heritage of the Swiss Alps.
