            Partis le 1er septembre 1930 du Bourget, les deux Français : Dieudonné Costes et Maurice Bellonte,
atteignent Curtiss Field près de New York, après un vol de 37 heures et 18 minutes à 167km/h de moyenne.
Cet exploit est réalisé à bord d’un Bréguet 19 baptisé «Point d’interrogation». 
L’avion porte ce nom car le point d’interrogation blanc, peint sur le biplan rouge, a été apposé par les mécaniciens de l’usine Bréguet qui se refusaient à en divulguer la destination...

Maurice Bellonte (Méru, Oise, 25 October 1896 – Paris, 14 January 1983) was a French aviator who set flight distance records.[1]

Associated with Dieudonné Costes - in 1930 - he performed the first westbound crossing of the North Atlantic from Paris to New York, on board the Breguet XIX Point d'interrogation
