Midnight encounter at the countryside gas station

Last November on the way back from a road trip to Utah we stopped for dinner at the iconic Harris Ranch, located along Interstate Highway 5 in the Central Valley of California. Last weekend we went to a nearby farm field to launch high power rockets.

I processed a paintery and a balanced HDR photo from two RAW exposures, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and desaturated the image. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
