May Some Gates Open in the New Year - a photo on Flickriver

I wish you all a Häppy New Year! May some new doors open for a meaningful life.

Chur, the oldest town in Switzerland is always a treat to visit. The city is located in the Swiss Alps, and is the regional capital of the Canton Graubünden (Grisons.) This is the Obertor tower, part of the medieval city wall. I captured this image shortly after midnight, it is my first photo of the new year.

I took this shot with the 60 year old Canon 50mm f0.95 "Dream Lens", which is very sharp when stepped down. I processed a photographic, a balanced, and a paintery HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
