Breakwater Park & West End Point on Lake Pontchartrain - New Orleans, Louisiana

Landing in New Orleans, Louisiana on a business trip back in 2014 and, as we began to pass over Lake Pontchartrain, this was one of the photos I snapped even though I had no idea what I was looking at...but, after a bit of research, I discovered exactly what I was looking at. On the far right edge of the photo is the Orleans Marina; the grassy area with trees to the left of the marina is West End Park; in the middle is the New Orleans Yacht Club & the Southern Yacht Club; and on the far left, as this area stretches out into Lake Pontchartrain, is Breakwater Park. And out in the distance behind these lakefront sites is the Lakeview neighborhood within the city of New Orleans.
