Unit History
144015 is an example of the final design of “Pacer” DMU with Alexander bus bodywork and BREL underframes. Twenty-three Class 144 units were built in 1987 for services in West Yorkshire. The units have a maximum speed of 75 mph. The first thirteen sets of the class (144001-013) are two car units with the remaining ten sets (144014-023) being three car units.
