            A moment of quiet in the city that never sleeps.  

Manhattan is one of the most densely populated places in the world, home to more wealth and power than anywhere on the planet, and the locus of major media, culture and global finance.  But for a brief few day period around Christmas, it has moments of quiet that make you think you could be anywhere when your eyes are closed.  The imagery - the lights, the buildings, the graffitit, the fire-escapes; the smells - garbage, laundry steam, and food, they never let you forget that you are in a place that thrives on chaos...even when it's still.
