I woke up early this morning, as I kissed my wife goodbye the dog drove his face between ours to make sure he got a kiss too. I told my wife I was going exploring and would be back this afternoon. I hadn't planned on stopping in Pine Island but the DMV in Cannon Falls was closed. I was heading down to Rochester to check out a brewery I hadn't been to yet.

Heading south on Highway 52 I stopped in the city of Zumbrota looking to see if they had a DMV. Google told me there was one in Pine Island, about 8 miles south of Zumbrota.

After getting my license plates renewed, I googled the brewery I was looking for and discovered that they didn't open to noon. Since it was only 11am I decided to see what I could find for lunch in Pine Island,

I found the taqueria a few buildings down from the DMV and decided to stop in and check out their food. I placed in my order and the nice lady behind the counter asked me if I would like a bottle of Pepsi from Mexico. Being a Pepsi lover I was intrigued, 

I grabbed a bottle, popped off the top at the opener mounted onto the counter I ordered at, and sat down at my table. My waitress brought over a basket of tortilla chips and a medium green salsa. The salsa was a bit thinner than I'm used to but it was delicious!

When my tacos were delivered to my table I was amazed at how delicious they were, I've never been a big fan of corn tortillas but these were amazing, nice and soft and the perfect vessel for the chorizo, onion and cilantro.

I cant wait to come back to the restaurant to try other options on the menu.
